Would highly recommend Schye construction. Just completed a loft conversion that involved replacing the entire roof. Mark was always responsive and communication was first class. The build quality was excellent and the team were respectful and courteous to my neighbours. Overall very happy that the job was completed on time and on budget. Was a pleasure working with you all in this project.

Syche have recently completed a part one / part two storey extension for us. We started by getting several quotes, all of which were more pricey than we were expecting. We picked Syche not because they were the cheapest but because they showed willingness to work with us and find areas where we could save a bit of money. The timing was pretty awful, our kitchen was knocked out in March as Boris asked us all to stay at home. The work continued as best they could when it was safe but this meant we both worked from home through almost all of the build. This was obviously pretty disruptive but the guys did their best and were always considerate. We had a few issues along the way as with all projects but overall Mark not only kept to budget but delivered on the savings suggested at the start. The result is something better than our architects original drawings because of the ideas they suggested. The vast majority of snagging points were completed very quickly after the finish of the build. The team were always polite and genuinely cared about doing a great job. Mark generally communicated very well and the use of a WhatsApp group that they key team members all had access to made our lives much easier. The quality of the finish is very high and we would absolutely recommend them to others. It was difficult to live through in lockdown but Im sure it could have been a lot worse with a different team in charge so thank you for a great job guys!!

So pleased I chose Schye Construction for my building project, these guys are amazing - use them! The extension was built on time, on budget with great ideas and advice from the initial design through to completion. All the team are professional, experienced and come with a wealth of knowledge that has meant the final result far surpasses anything I could have imagined, and they were the most competitively priced! Add to this their good humour and you have a winning combination, they will now always be my go to builders - thank you team Schye.

After much arduous research and sorting of wheat from chaff we decided upon Schye Construction to undertake the two-storey extension and whole house renovation of our 1930s property. This was a huge project that involved demolishing and reinstating the entire first floor from the ground-floor ceilings up. Marks enthusiasm, drive and engagement with the project were evident from our first meeting with him - qualities that were shared by the entire team, and they did not waver despite the challenges of the build being compounded by the pandemic and Brexit. We were especially impressed with the high quality of both the workmanship and materials that went into the important structural fabric and the knowledge and skill of all the key trade professionals. Importantly, our wishes for a sympathetic restoration were also listened to: our fireplace was lovingly rebuilt, the bricks for our chimney were chosen with care, ideas about feature walls and recesses were presented to us and made manifest. Mark spent several days trying to find the precise style of picture rail we wanted, and a post from the kitchen that we had etched our childrens heights on was even embedded into a wall on the landing. As all these things illustrate, these are builders who care. They were flexible and responsive and worked tirelessly through extremes of searing heat and unrelenting rain always with good humour and obliging attitudes. Being human, there was the odd mistake and misunderstanding along the way but profuse apologies and resolution quickly followed. We watched in awesome wonder as they made our home rise phoenix-like from the ashes of its neglect. To paraphrase the late great Freddie Mercury - you are the champions, my friends . . . we thank you all.
