Mackinder Farms Holiday Accommodation

Fantastic week for extended family group in 9 lodges and cottages. The accommodation and extensive grounds are beautifully kept and the kids were so happy going free range for the week. Hot tubs were also a big hit. The cottages and lodges were also very comfortable and convenient for older people with disabilities. We go away as a large family group every Easter. We have been to lovely places but usually one or two families have to take one for the team and put up with less than optimal accommodation. Not at Mackinder. Lodges and cottages are all beautiful, quiet, warm and comfortable. Even the knives in the kitchen are sharp. Mackinders location is also very convenient for us as we come from all over the country - Northumberland to Portsmouth via the Welsh marches and no one had more than a 3 hour drive to get here. We have booked to go again next year.

Had a lovely weekend break at Mackinder Farms. James the host was very informative and helpful all through the process, the lodge itself was really clean and modern, the lodges are spread out far enough so you have privacy. The location is great with some lovely walks and not being far from York or Selby. We will definitely be staying again.

What a find! On arrival the lodge was absolutely immaculate, the owner came and spoke to us and was very welcoming. The rooms were spacious and the hot tub perfect. The welcome crate and spa slippers were a really lovely personal touch. Amazing place for a weekend of peace and quiet and will definitely be booking again.

Beautiful 4 day stay here peaceful and relaxing. accommodation was spacious and well laid out, the welcome basket was lovely hot tubs well maintained would highly recommend
