It's a gorgeous cottage which is fully equipped. Supermarkets are fairly distant though, about 7 miles away but there's a small local grocery shop in the village about a mile or so from the cottage, selling basic provisions. There's no atm in Bratton Fleming, the nearest being Barnstaple, as is the nearest petrol station. The only issue we had at the cottage itself was the stairs. They are pretty steep and narrow with the drop between each one being fairly long so may be a bit of a problem if you have dodgy knees. Free wifi is provided, the password revealed in the guest book but it's a bit hit and miss. There's no non wifi signal however as you're in a valley. That said, we love this place, it has such a peaceful relaxing vibe and we've stayed twice within the past year.

We have just spent 4 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The garden and surroundings are so beautiful, our kids aged 6 and 4 loved the little bridge over the stream. Not a sound to be heard except bird song, glorious. Inside some groceries were waiting for us when we arrived, really thoughtful of the owners. There is everything you could want in the cottage, clean and cosy and comfortable. Location is ideal, 8 miles to Barnstaple and many beaches are only about a 20-30 minute drive away. We would stay again - thank you.
