Update April 2023. Went for an evening drink with a friend. Very quiet and lifeless in both bar and lounge. Previous landlord and chef Andy has moved across the road to the cafe. We left quite quickly. Update January 2020. Just been back yet again for our regular Sunday lunch. Beautiful tender tasty beef and lamb with all the trimmings, Yorkshire pudding, lovely gravy and excellent vegetables at the most reasonable price we've come across. The landlord is also the cook and knows his business. Comfortable saloon bar with a warm fire. Service was quick and friendly, but you order at the bar and get your own knives and forks from the sideboard. Keep it up Andy, youre doing a great job! 2 years ago 2018.First class 10 oz steak juicy, tender and tasty! A plateful to remember. Lovely hand cut chips and sweet garden peas. All for 13. 50. Great British cooking!

Great service and competitively priced beers. A great bar to catch up with friends or to come and watch sports. Rooms: This is not a hotel. It's a village pub.

After a second trip with friends last week I feel I need to say that it was a pleasant experience and we really enjoyed ourselves . But unfortunately this weekend there was a large amount of underage drinking Happening without being queried whilst myself and my wife were there on Saturday . All in all a good pint and it seems the toilets are being refurbed .
