Rani is amazing with my spaniel. She actually enjoys going to the groomer now! So different to previous grooming experiences.

A MASSIVE 5 STARS FROM ME I HIGHLY RECOMMEND My cockapoo had two very bad experiences with a groomer which left him very nervous around groomers and would not let anyone near his rear end. After trying a couple of other groomers, I found myself desperate so went to my vet for advice. My vet referred us to New Forest Pet Spa (Madeleine and Rani). I cannot state enough how fantastic they have been. For our first visit they let my dog become familiar with them and with the salon, they taught me how to use a clicker (I must say I was a bit sceptical at first) to train my dog using a reward-based system. Madeleine gave us homework and off we went until our next visit. Quickly my dog became familiar with the clicker system and Madeleine and Rani gained the trust of my dog. It has not been a quick fix, so if you have a dog that has is nervous around grooming, be expected to put in time and effort. It has taken a lot of work at home to train my dog to become happy for anyone to touch him again and this has been supported by Madeleine and Rani in their grooming studio. One year on and I can honestly say my dog now loves going to the groomer. I have been sent videos of him falling asleep whilst under the hairdryer, he gets excited when I tell him he's off to the groomer and happily goes off wagging his tail. When I walk my dog, I often get told your dog looks good, where do you get him groomed. I never thought this day would come and that's all thanks to the kind, patient and dog loving New Forest Pet Spa. I cant recommend New Forest Pet Spa enough.
