AVOID!!! Communication shocking. Inaccurate information constantly given. Promises broken. It's true that I didn't want to use the tutor option, and I wanted to self-study - so to be clear this review is purely of the online learning centre & the administrative side of the business, which are clearly very important to anyone studying for CIPS. There's a reason DLC are only on Feefo (where they select who can provide a review), and not on Trustpilot. Prior to becoming a DLC customer, I emailed DLC on March 3rd, stating that my plan was to study for the May '18 exam, and I asked at that point what the deadline to make this exam was. I was told that I need to enrol asap, which I did, ensuring that I paid the invoice on the day that I received to to expedite things. I was then told that I was too late to enrol on the May exam! So I was lied to in order to get me to sign up and pay quickly, which is highly annoying. They gave me inaccurate info that led to me ordering the wrong book, which they then refused to accept back (only backing down after I went through all of the communication and pointed out to them why they were in the wrong - very time consuming). I also get spam emails not aimed at CIPS students from DLC. Exam booking deadlines change without warning! This cost me the chance to study for and sit an exam during a quiet period at work for me. If you're considering studying CIPS, either find another provider, or just use the CIPS website and e-learning yourself - it's much easier to use, cheaper, and DLC just use their content anyway. Don't add to your exam stress by using DLC!
