Very nice from the outside, and had some lovely seating overlooking the river in the back. We hadn't booked and were able to get a seat during a very busy Sunday lunch service. Took a good 7-8 minutes of waiting before we were acknowledged by the 15th member of staff to walk past us and were then finally seated. Can order and get food and drink delivered to the non-table service tables which was great but had to order my main at the bar as I needed to make allergy adjustments. Asked three staff members if I was queuing at the right till to order and was assured I was but still took a further 15 minutes to get my order taken despite being next to the till. My burger was adapted for gluten free and dairy free which meant no bun rather than a GF alternative, was tasty but a bit sparse on the plate - wasn't given any additions for no bun etc. My partner's duo of beef roast was just sad, dryest beef ever, an over crisped Yorkshire pudding, crunchy veg and no bread sauce despite it being on the menu, also the potatoes were so dry he genuinely had to choke them down. He did absolutely love the shortrib but it didn't redeem the whole meal. Was absolutely not worth 20 for a small portion. My burger wasn't any cheaper despite coming with less than a normal portion- chips were very tasty but again not enough of them. We would have complained but no staff came back to check on how we liked our food and I would not queue for a further 15 minutes just to get a different meal. Also the glass onion app didn't work for me to filter allergens. Overall you could tell the food might have been quite nice during a quiet shift but they absolutely cannot cope with a busy Sunday service and keep all customers happy. Generally overpriced and bad food.
