    Hi, This company fitted a wood burning stove with an outside flue at my house in the summer of 2020. They did an excellent job with the installation. Recently March 2023 high winds dislodged the outside flue. I took a photograph and sent it in an email asking what they proposed to do. Their service was once again superb, their fitter came out at my convenience, explained that the clip had failed and repaired it. I always think you came judge a company in how it resolves the problems. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company, it also gave great value for money on the initial installation. Thanks again

    With increasing energy prices, it was time to get a multi fuel stove and being a complete novice I didn't know where to start. After some looking on the internet Modern Stoves came up and I liked the look of their stoves and their prices. I couldn't fault their friendly customer service, their knowledge and advice was great and even provided a free flue design service. I spoke to them a few times regarding the quotation, as where we wanted to place the stove was a bit complicated, but they answered all my questions, and couldn't of been more helpful. Within a week I had the stove and flue system delivered ready to for an installer, and even better... cheaper than anywhere else I had looked at! Thank you Modern Stoves!

    WARNING AVOID: I cannot express how frustrating and poor modernstoves is; our experience is completely consistent with all others giving a 1 star review (i.e. the genuine reviews). In the end at best like me you waste time and money for no product and having paid a builder for planning and purchasing efforts, at worst being stuck with damage. Damaged stove received (in 4 places significantly), builder told to paint it (unacceptable, impossible and wouldn't solve the different types of damage). After several excuses no exchange was offered, only a return which is counter to consumer rights policy/law. The company never took responsibility for anything and even stated "would like to offer our apologies on behalf of the manufacturer for the issue with the paint finish and inconvenience this has caused you." They even state to my builder "the paint on the stove is very soft and can be easily marked before it has cured during the first few fires. It can be marked in transit to you or indeed to us from the manufacturer, during unpacking, installation or use during this time. We have the paint used by the manufacturer to spray the stoves, I would like to send you an aerosol can of this, to fix the mark on the stove." Bizarre and not an issue with any company with integrity. They said I could only return the stove if I repackage and ratchet strapped the item; in the end they sent the straps. An old person couldn't do this. Left with wrong sized hearth and additional items already purchased. Again, shambolic. Nothing offered in return. Went to another company and very happy with a perfect stove and excellent customer service and follow up support.

    I spoke to Ashley recently about trying to find the best back boiler to go into our new home. we are still yet to move in but we have placed a deposit on a condor range cooker with a back boiler ready for when we finally move in and get our kitchen started. He was patient, and insightful and really help me to understand how these would need to be installed to get the most out of them. I would happily recommend modern stoves to anyone looking to get a stove. Thank you.
