Submariner ordered online 7th December showing as In Stock with estimated delivery 4-6 weeks (Fine I am assuming they source from Europe). 5800 paid upfront.
Visit shop prior to Xmas to acknowledge order and told likely delivery end of January (Fine)
Mid Janaury check stock online and price increased to 7800 but happy they will honour my upfront RRP payment
Call and visit several times in February and told they are finding it difficult to get hold of (Hold on, you had advertised this as being in stock!)
Early March, put it down as a bad do and request a refund (I am told this can only be processed by Paul and he is out of the office). I am also told they will need to get their money back from the supplier first! (Huh?! This really doesnt sit well so I decide to escalate to Trading Standard)
I call Trading Standards who advise they have 14 days to refund as per the Consumers Act 2015 so I request the refund in writing this time on the 12th March.
Money finally refunded 14 days later 1hr prior to shop shutting (by Christine not by Paul why couldnt this have been done in the first instance?)
Summary:
I am especially keen to support local businesses considering how difficult it is for the high street these days but I felt utterly compelled to notify the public of using any sort of online service with this company. They have had 6k of my money for just short of 4 months and delivered nothing in return. There are other Google reviews and Trust Pilot reviews just like mine so I am not alone. You literally have to beg for your money back and this whole set up stinks of dirty tricks. I take no pleasure in having to do this but I would be doing future customers a disservice if I didnt bring these malpractices to their attention. Unless you have seen the product and can hold the product before you decide to purchase stay well clear.
I am still hearing of people getting duped, people I know of personally. People bringing Rolex in for this shop to sell and not being able to get their assets back.
