Boutique Alterations

Extremely disappointing experience. Went with my daughter for a dress fitting. I had not seen the dress or the veil as don't live in the UK and wanted to take the opportunity of the fitting to see it on her. We were told that we would have to be quick as they had to "crack on" and this was not what the fitting was for. We took less than 5 mins placing the veil and positioning the dress and was told again that they needed to "crack on". During the fitting I had a couple of concerns with with the alterations, ie too tight, puckering at the neckline and rolling of the straps at the back. I was told that I didn't understand the fabric, that it was not their fault the straps were rolling and twisting as they didn't design the dress and that there was nothing that they could do about it. My daughter was almost in tears when we left the shop and told me that she felt completely deflated about the whole experience. I called the shop manager to express my concerns and she came back with the same aggressive and unhelpful attitude. She reiterated that that 'well they did have to crack on - that they 'did have other people to see'; that I didn't understand the fabric and again that 'she didn't design the dress so couldn't do anything about the twisting straps'. I decided to take my business elsewhere and although they were happy to refund my 360, they deducted 50 for the time that they had spent putting the pins in (which was less than 30 mins). I was told that the 'Experience' we expected should have been at the Bridal Shop and not at the "dress fitting" as that was all it was "a fitting" - utterly speechless. I went elsewhere and got a 100% customer service, with the time and consideration shown that you would expect and for a third of the price. My daughter felt like a complete weight had been lifted and can now look forward to her big day.

They were really accomodating with my tight timescales due to several lockdowns getting in the way of having my dress altered! They did a lovely job on my Jesus Peiro wedding dress.

Boutique Alterations did a great job on my Jesus Peiro wedding dress. It was a sample and they made it fit perfectly. It was a very busy time for them and they made a few last minute changes. Thanks Boutique Alterations : )).

I bought my wedding dress in a sample sale and thought it was the one and I had all these ideas of how I wanted it to look. I quickly became disheartened after going to a couple of alterations and completely fell out of love with it. I was recommended Tusneem at Boutique Alterations and from the very first time I went into the shop and met Tusneem I knew I was in safe hands. Tusneem knew instantly bits of the dress that needed changing and she listened to everything I wanted, by the end of it my dress was completely customised to something I've always dreamed of and what I thought wasn't possible. I even got the most beautiful veil to match my dress. So professional and amazing at what they do here and I would recommend them to everyone! I had so many compliments on the day and I am so happy I found this place!
