Steve and his guys have now carried out a couple of electrical jobs for us. Always arrives when arranged, does excellent work and clears up after. Very pleased with both the costs and the work carried out, and would highly recommend.

I initially contacted Steve at SCZ due to a great looking website with some decent reviews on there. I contacted him last month to do a fairly simple electric line to my outbuilding - he said itd be a 2 weeks wait for a quote and then another 2 weeks till the job would we done. I was fine with this. Steve came and was friendly and looked at what needed doing. He then emailed me a quote the next day. I decided that i didnt need as many sockets as quoted and so asked that he take these off the invoice and just do the electric line with one socket (initially he was going to do 10 sockets which looking back was definitely excessive!) After appearing to agree to do this and offering a date to book me in, i then asked him to send the invoice for the newly agreed work and also asked him the difference in cost between a 2 way socket and 4 way socket. This seemed to send him over the edge and he replied saying i should look for another electrician who is cheaper. I informed him that i didnt want someone cheaper...and that i was happy with his prices - all i wanted was the 10 sockets reducing to 1, which he agreed to do anyway. After the reply id sent, i didnt hear from Steve for 2 weeks! This is after sending 3 follow up emails in the interim. He advised me that he wouldnt do the job as we wouldnt work well together - which is odd considering i wouldnt be doing any of the work and would be leaving him to it. So now the reason wasnt because he wanted me to get the job cheaper...but because he had some sort of issue with me - a person who he met once for 5 minute and agreed to do a job for happily! He also asked me to stop emailing him - which is ironic, as if he would have replied to any of the other 3 emails over a 2 week period, then i wouldnt have had to email him again. So after basically wasting 6 weeks of my time (from initial contact to quote to final email) i have to start all over again and find someone else to do the job. If you want to get a job done quickly and fairly DONT go to Steve at SCZ Electrical Services.
