        Shower blocks are good, but other than that, very poor campsite. Was floodlit all night, which is not great when you're trying to sleep. Cafe is appalling, the staff make you feel like you should apologise for disturbing them and the tea is awful.

        Overflow campsite of the smaller main unit in the centre of Braithwaite. Very large grounds surrounded by trees. Shower/toilet/washing up block. Space for about 5 vans if require electricity. Massive area for tents but no electricity. Socket in ladies shower room off for 24_ 48 hours so no hairdryer possible. Obviously not treat as an emergency. 15 minute walk into the village or 30_ 40 minutes into Keswick. Bus stop into Keswick through the gate turn left and follow minor road until A66. Otherwise in Braithwaite village for all buses. Recommend 77 bus ride. 2 hour round trip to Buttermere , Honister Pass etc. Brilliant.

        A great site. Quiet, great value, good facilities and handy for Keswick. However, it was taken over recently by one of the national groups so may have changed particularly in terms of price!
