I found Essex block paving LTD online and requested a quote, Darren, who runs the contacted me promptly to ask when was convenient to pop by. Darren was very helpful from the moment he arrived. I was looking to rip up all of my old garden paving, tired brickwork and an area of decorative stones and replace the whole area with artificial grass. Darren was clear about what the process would be, how he would go about the project and how long everything should take. He recommended some grass to me (which I couldn't be happier with!!) and we agreed to go ahead with the project in a few weeks time when Darren was available to start the work. Darren kept in touch throughout the period before work could start, and was very happy to answer all of my questions, no matter how trivial. I felt assured I had hired the right people for my project. Darren and his team arrived as agreed and got to work immediately, it was the hottest day of the year (by some way!!) yet the boys set about ripping my paving stones up and getting to work, they worked unbelievably hard and had to be encouraged by my partner to take breaks because of the heat!!!!! On the second day of work, I realised that I may be better to replace my aging oil tank which is located in the garden, before my new grass is laid, however this is a project in itself and any new workers may have got in Darren's way,l. I spoke with Darren and explained that this would be ideal for me if we could make this happen, he was more than happy to cooperate and work around any other workers, he just wanted what's best for me. This was hugely appreciated! The guys did such a good job converting my dull garden to a green, vibrant area that I asked if they could help with a new project which would be to clear the area between my side and front garden entrances and replace all of the the paving there. Darren came up with a brilliant idea of using the slabs I had taken out of my main garden and using them for this project in order to keep costs down. Sure enough Darren completed this project to an excellent standard!!!! So pleased with everything, I also asked if Darren could helped me source and install new fence panels to which he did. I recommend Essex Block Paving without reservation. They are prompt, knowledgable, reliable and diligent. I was pleased with every aspect of their work and particularly pleased with how flexible they were to my ever changing requirements. I couldn't be happy and will certainly use them for any other needs in the future. I wouldn't even consider looking elsewhere.
