I phoned for an appointment for an NHS eye test. All was fine and booked in for next week. The receptionist then told me I cannot attend if I am not wearing a face mask. I explained I have a medical exemption that is accepted without question for my appointments with NHS hospital appointments and dental appointments. She said there was no way I could come in the door if I was not wearing a mask. I explained to her that she was actually breaking the law under the disability act and was risking being taken to court for that reason? She told me she's doing as she's told, so I can only assume this is the policy in that shop. Sadly I had to book an appointment with a large national optician instead if a local one.
