Absolutely fantastic! The staff are wonderful and caring, the rooms are lovely. My mother is so happy now that she has moved. She is also much healthier as she has company around her. The food is all freshly cooked as well.

I would highly recommend Abbeyfield House in Felsted. My father has lived there since October 2014 and is extremely well looked after in this lovely home. The staff are wonderful, friendly and caring. The food is all freshly cooked on the premises to a high standard. The rooms are excellent, all with en suite facilities. A good range of activities is provided daily and the residents also have the opportunity to get involved in the village community. It is very reassuring to know that my father is well cared for and treated with dignity, kindness and respect at Abbeyfield House.

My mother lived in an old cottage 40 mins drive from me,when she became unsteady and started having falls, partly due to the rickety nature of her cottage, we were lucky to find a place for her at Abbeyfield Braintree Bocking and Felsted. We took her to have a look as she didnt really want to move. The staff couldn't have been more helpful we had a good look round, had lunch in the dinning room and met some of the other tenants , mother was reassured and we were able to move her in within the month. It gave mother a new lease of life. She was comfortable and safe with her own furniture around her, company on hand when wanted, friendly staff keeping an eye out for her and myself able to pop in at least once a day.She enjoyed the social side of Abbeyfield life and loved having an audience for her stories. When the end came she was able to die in her own bed with wonderful caring staff whom she knew ,and her family around her. Thank you Abbeyfield.

My mum had a slight stroke a couple of years ago. She made a full recovery but the stay in hospital left her less mobile than before and it was hard for her to cope at home. After some falls and another couple of hospital stays we agreed that she needed a more supported living environment better suited to her needs. She tried a stay at a care home but, while the staff were great, she didn't like the lack of independence and felt she didn't belong there. Thankfully a place at Abbeyfields Great Bradfords House became available at just the right moment, giving her everything she wanted - her own space and ability to continue to live independently but with a hot nutritious meal provided every day, regular visits from excellent, friendly carers and staff present on site 24/7 in case of emergencies. Although I try to visit mum most days it's also given me great peace of mind knowing that mum is safe, cared for, and most of all, happy in her new home.
