They've claimed, falsely, that I was reimbursed post-repair by the creditor. I was credited money directly to my account (by the crediting company I'm paying off the car with on HP) prior to any repairs going ahead - I emphasise here that I was not beholden to spend that money at D.M. Keith, ergo I didn't have to go ahead with the repair. I could have used that money towards a replacement car. So, why did I spend that money on the repair? Because I was led to believe by their service department that an expensive cylinder head (according to the service manager, a manufacturing fault in TSI engines prior to a component revision in vehicles manufactured from 2014 onwards - as my car is a 2013, it predated said revision to the cylinder head) replacement would fix the high oil consumption, so I went ahead with the repair, which didn't do anything to fix the core fault. Now they're saying that I need to have it diagnosed again at my expense even though I've paid for this already.
Unsurprisingly, they're no longer interested now they have my money. I spoke with their service manager for well over an hour before Christmastime, and he said they'd get back to my in the New Year. Four months into the new year, and no effort has been made to contact me. They're giving me the runaround and behaving as if I'm the problem. Buyer beware is extremely advised when dealing with this mafia-like business.
