Knowles Court

Just starting my second stay here. Its a weathered home but clean and functional. We've turned into a nation of moaners, you'd never believe we came through 2 world wars and Margaret Thatcher. The staff are friendly, overworked and under paid. When I was told I needed respite, I chose Knowles Court before anywhere else was offered. I'm writing this review on my first day. Thanks to all concerned.

Not what you expect from a nursing home used to be a lot cleaner than it is now the staff are run off their feet I've never seen them so busy they seem to do everything and I mean everything.It would be nice if the management took more notice of residents and their families and asked them what they think is needed a few more meetings would be nice ps I think the staff on ryecroft are some of the best I know I moan about things but can't fault with you thank you all for looking after my dad

It is a real concern when you have to commit to care a much loved parent so it was with trepidation that I placed my 86 yo mum with Fairfax House in Knowle Court. And really there was no need for any concern at all for I doubt there is a better standard of care delivered throughout the whole of the United Kingdom. The staff are exemplary in their care, concern and empathy, all have long term tenure and show a genuine concern in maintaining the long term health and happiness of their charges. I cannot praise the care team enough who loo after my mum. I doubt there are many facilities where the unit manager bakes cakes and treats long into the night in their limited free time for their clients nor who brings fresh produce from their own garden as treats either. Thank you for looking after my mum so very well and making her feel so very welcome and safe, words cannot thank you enough.
