Beware !!! Do not have anything to do with any of the businesses conected to Artisan (Darren) he is a complete money grabbing cowboy !! The worst company I have ever known in every way possible !!! Its now just over a year since our loft conversion was done and our roof is still leaking to the point where my daughters bed is actually soaking wet in bad weather ! The roof was supposed to be repaired as part of the work done and all that happened was it was made 1000 times worse than it had ever been before ! The attic has always been a bedroom ever since we moved into the house but we had it extended and made into 2 bedrooms for our children. The roof has never leaked like it does now and after having several roofing experts to look at it we have been told that the builder who we were told was employed by artisan but was actually a self employed sub contractor has probably made it worse by knocking out some of the original cement between the tiles and not fitting the new velux properly. The rooms are also freezing because the insulation is completely insufficient ! We should have been advised to line our roof before any internal work was done but all Darren is interested in is getting his money. This is only a couple of the many problems we had during the work such as being left with a leaking radiator pipe over the weekend , having to move out of our house for 2 weeks because of the whole house being covered in thick black dust and having to fight tooth and nail just for some skirting boards and after countless phone calls and letters to an office address where he doesnt have an office but just rents a post box he then closed the company down leaving us with nowhere to go to claim any sort of compensation. So thanks Darren for everything , what a star you are and such a nice person too ! ( NOT !!! ) Avoid this man at all cost !!

Trash. Got us an architect to draw up plans then left us high and dry. Never returned phone calls, emails nothing. Had problems with the architect to. We are out of pocket now having to organise everything ourselves with building regs e.t.c. awful

I cannot believe this review.! Darren is the worst most despicable Pearson I have come into contact with. I had to cancel my loft conversion after my husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I paid 400 for a servey and deposited 1800. After many phone calls and emails,I contacted Trading standards . Darren eventually refunded me 1200. Well Darren my husband had now passed away knowing you left me out of pocket . Please do not get caught by this man.He are heartless. Sadly this an honest review. You do not deserve a single star.

Prior to Artisan creating our Loft Conversion, we were forever thinking of moving. We asked for a visit and Darren attended to review our options, work with our ideas and make sure our visions came to fruition. We feel that he just went that one step further than other companies, pointing out issues and ensuring that as the project went live that we would all be able to work together to ensure we got a result we would all be extremely satisfied with. Now with the work complete, we feel our house has been transformed into a complete home. The new space we have is absolutely fantastic and gives mum and dad some space of our own! The rooms have been designed and constructed better than we could have coped for, transforming our house to a 4/5 bedroom house and that all important extra toilet - such a valuable asset! Having strangers in your home, knocking holes in walls and floors all over the place and creating mess can be a very traumatic experience. But we feel Artisan made this extremely easy for us; their workforce were polite, considerate and always tidied after themselves at the end of the day. We really appreciated their "no outdoor shoes in the house" policy! They were always keen to advise as the works progressed if they felt that something could be changed for the better. Communicaton was excellent. The team was always so obliging to take us through what they had achieved, what was planned for the upcoming days and week and what materials would be coming on to site. This made us feel part of the team too! As is inevitable, when problems crept up, Artisan were there to solve them, working with us all the time to overcome them, without grumbling, just getting on with it. Their whole postitive attitude to change was exceptional, even if a fair amount of deliberating occurred. Many thanks for being so patient with us in those situations! If you asked our neighbours their view of Artisan and their workforce, on their professionalism and consideration toward them, during works, as materials arrived and keeping dispruption to a minimum, they would almost certainly vouch for them. This was a vital consideration for us, living on a very narrow, long, dead end street. In fact one of our neighbours were so impressed, that they also chose Artisan to proceed with home improvements. We would happily recommend them to any of our family, friends and neighbours. Thank you so much Artisan for giving us the revitalised home we now have; we are so happy with it, words are not enough to express our gratitude.
