We have used other funeral directors where the contact has changed, this led to confusion and so we returned to Bates' to deal with the funeral of a close friend. Sylvia and her staff work to traditional values but have the knowledge and contacts to make a stressful time that little bit more easier, something that we will always be grateful for.

After the recent sudden death of our mum I would like to say a massive thank you to H Bates funeral directors for helping us all through the worst time of our lives. The care and compassion shown by the whole team was so comforting. We will be forever grateful.

Yet again, Sylvia and her team have pulled out all the stops to give our loved one the send off they deserve. The dedication to duty and dignified, respectful service received were second to none. This is the reason why Sylvia, and the team at Bates, is our family funeral director. You want to know that the last thing you can do for a loved one is to give them the best of what is on offer and that is why we continue to return to Sylvia and her team. Nothing is ever too much trouble. You make a very difficult time more bearable, Sylvia, thank you yet again. My family and I would just like to thank Sylvia and her team at H. Bates for their care compassion and empathy through what was a very difficult time. They had everything covered and were there to help all the way. Would highly recommend them. them.
