David Carter diagnosed a frozen shoulder, and with manipulation and exercises at home, improvement began It was slow, but no slower that predicted by David, who had given me a full and clear description of the stages of the treatment: these things take time. As the shoulder loosened, it became clear to David that some nerve restriction and pain was there with weakness in the forearm to,. This had probably resulted from surgery to the arm a few years previously. Additional manipulation and more exercises followed: exercises are so important - physios can do little for people who don't follow their advice. I became discouraged at points, but David was always encouraging in his calm and positive way and after some months' work, there was a almost a sea-change in the condition, with the shoulder freed and movement almost back to normal. I was discharged with exercises to keep things moving, and a promise of a review in a couple of months and further treatment if necessary, but I am confident that following David's advice, all will be well.
