If you have a loved one who needs care do NOT put them in here. My mum went in 4 weeks ago and passed away yesterday. The buzzer she had in her room did not work most of the time and despite us and social services raising this for over 2 weeks it was never fixed. She was never taken out if her room other than to have a bath once a week, even after we took a wheelchair in for them to use. The meals were a joke. For tea she was constantly given jam sandwiches and soup, despite me telling them I did not want my mum to be given jam sandwiches. The manager never introduced herself and the only time I saw her was one evening when I was leaving and she was arriving. We did ask for her to meet with myself and social services in mums room but she sent a nurse instead. My mums life was miserable in here. The staff did their best but when you only have 2 care assistants and one nurse to deal with 20 patients it is a near impossibility to cope. On the morning she died we were taken to her room as we had received a call to say she was poorly. We got there to find she had already passed away and they never even told us. It was a massive shock

I worked here I reported two staff for bullying residents and nothing was done, on a night shift it is always understaffed it was always one carer and one senior with a unit of dementia residents and I was working with a nurse by myself for three month on the new nursing unit It wont let me reply back to your comment but any information you need the deputy manager has as I did report it to the deputy manager at the time and still nothing got done
