Very damaging to my mental health I was referred many years ago as I much needed counselling and on my first appointment I was racially profiled and had very snarky, rude and offensive comments said to me by the counsellor such as are your parents forcing you to go to Syria? Are being forced to dress like that? These things have been very hard on me and I never returned even though I was at such a low point and have finally got the courage to mention this incident as no one in my family know why I never returned even now it is so painful for me this memory. If I could formally complain in any way I would. The counsellor seriously is not fit for the role and I hope she never treats anyone again

If I could rate zero I would. Absolutely disgusting and disappointing service as my parents and I turned up for an appointment for my younger sister, was left waiting for 20 minutes only to go up to the desk to the receptionist to be told the doctor was off, and not only that we were told we were meant to be having a phone appointment. YET in the letter we received confirming the date and time said it was a face to face one. We understand mistakes happen, yet to be left waiting by receptionist who knew we were there and her knowing we were there waiting, and to be told blatant lies about the reasons we were not been seen. We had to leave my younger sister with her nana due to her been off school unwell which anyone with a child with complex needs know any change in routine is very stressful for the child. CAMHs should be more than aware and understanding of this. Yet still found it competley fine to leave us waiting knowing no doctors were there, and to not even bother beforehand to ring and let us know. Alot of work and re training needs to be done, as they're supposed to be there to help children and parents not make things worse, and be completely incompident. Mistakes like this shouldn't happen especially whilst dealing with children's needs. No apology has been given by the people involved, just excuses passing the blame to each other which is even more unprofessional. Disgustined people like this are left in charge to deal with vulnerable children and parents just seeking help and support. Utterly disrespectful.
