When we got engaged 2 years ago we had no idea how or where to start to plan a wedding. After some research and looking into the Matthew Oliver Weddings portfolio we had our first call over Skype with Matthew and Bertie. Already during this very first phone call it became clear they truly had a passion for wedding planning and were set on making our wedding one that would exceed even our imagination. What set Matthew Oliver Weddings apart from other wedding planners we talked to was the fact that from the get-go they really wanted to get to know us, our story, and that it was not just business with them at all. But to us the star at Matthew Olivers Weddings is without a doubt Millie, who ended up being our lead wedding planner. She was truly amazing at everything she did for our wedding. She organized it in a way no one else could have done. Every week we would have a call with her to go over everything that needed to be done and everything we wanted. The calls were always a delight to us since we would also catch up about life and even now almost a year later we truly miss our weekly calls with her! We know planning our wedding couldnt have been an easy task for Millie but she never complained and because of her hard work, we got the wedding we wanted. We gained so much more respect for wedding planners just learning about everything Millie needed to do, between the phone calls, meetings, negotiations, and being such a good listener/borderline therapist so that we could have our dream wedding. Working with Matthew Oliver Weddings was everything we hoped for and more. These guys are absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!! Matthew, Bertie and the team were professional, innovative with tons of fantastic ideas and incredible attention to detail, and well organised throughout all stages of the planning. Throughout the whole process Matthew and team really took time to understand everything we wanted and delivered a wedding which way surpassed our expectations or what we ever thought possible. It really felt as if our wedding was being planned by old friends who had known us for years and really understood everything we wanted down to every intricate detail. They made every stage of the planning enjoyable throughout and always provided such incredible ideas we would have never considered without them. I just cannot recommend highly enough. If you're looking for a truly individual and epic wedding to be the best day of your life (cliche as it sounds but absolutely true!) - these are the guys to go to! We LOVE these guys for all they have done for us and writing this makes me want to do it all over again! Andre & Scott x
