Sam helped me to discern what sort of shelving I needed as my thoughts were rather vague. One a standard pine shelf but made to measure for an awkward space & with need of staining to match older furniture. I could find nothing suitable on sale The second a beautifully crafted display shelf for a heavy piece of pottery I was keen to keep safe. Again I couldn't really get my head around what was required but Sam rightly showed me that my ideas wouldn't do the necessary job. Sam did the job without fuss & for a good price. Thanks again. We used Sam's services to resize and fit an oak veneer door in addition to a new door stop with weather seal, threshold installed and catch refitted. Sam did a wonderful job and we have no cold draught anymore. The finish was highly professional and the final result proves Same is a very technical and talented carpenter. I am delighted to write a few words in support of the work Sam has done for me at my home over the last few years. I have valued his real interest in wood and in carpentry, and his understanding of whats needed in a house of this age (1930). I have benefitted from his ability to work out suitable solutions for me when faced with difficult and unusual spaces. The storage solutions he created in the space above my garage are just wonderful. I appreciated his ability to design and make a garden bench to suit my house and garden, using appropriate long lasting wood. In addition to his technical skills I have valued the way in which he works. This includes his calm approach and attention to detail. Sam fitted out a large workshop unit for me with wall panels, and he built a new office with stud walls, windows and a new door. His work is excellent and he obviously enjoys detailed carpentry and joinery. Sam is very skilled and knows how to best approach a job to get it done right and within budget. Sam was on time every day and was always prepared with the right materials and tools for the job. He is a quick worker and always willing to provide guidance and advice.
