        Encouraging my grandson to do his homework,which he is fairly reluctant to do, I was struck by his comment that "This is a waste of time , they never look at it." I looked at his folder of homework for last half term and it seems he is right. There were no remarks positive or negative. No corrections of spelling or grammar. No ticks, comments or any sign that a teacher has looked at it. For an intelligent boy of eight to begin to think that schoolwork is a waste of time is the beginning of a slippery slope. I would appreciate any feedback from the school, or was this a waste of time too?
