the receptionist is haughty, communication with her is absurd and not confidential: i approached the reception to register there as a new patient. there was a sign over the reception reading REGISTRATION NEW PATIENT. but when i told the receptionist that i wanted to register as a new patient, as first she told me to wait as she was teaching her colleague. so i waited when she finished her teaching. then she told me that the reception did not do registrations, and that i needed to go online. so i asked her how to prove my identity online but she ignored the question and suddenly changed her mind saying that she managed to find few registration forms and that i could register there. i filled in the forms and wanted to pass them to her. but again, she did something else, very important - moving some paperwork from place to place, and then applying washing gel on her hands, to show me that she was extremely busy to take my forms. then she finaly took them, probably expecting that i would have been very grateful to her for finding some time for my registration. i asked her how long it would take. she ignored the question. i asked her whether it would be a week or longer. she ignored the question. she just indicated that i bothered her. i asked her whether she could check and confirm for me that she received my email with a proof of address. she refused to do it saying that if not, i would get a call from them. she started to study the forms. there were several patients waiting at the reception. and she said - so your son is 15? i confirmed that he was 15. i did not know why she told this , and publicly, so i asked her - so when he is 16, will he need himself to register? she ignored the question. she uselessly shared this confidential information in public. she was unable to keep confidentiality of patients data as she continued to share my private data with the patients waiting there - she said to me: "so your sons surname is different from your surname?" i confirmed, but i did not get why she discussed this, and publicly. i was just shocked with her dealing with my private data this way. so do not bother this princess of cornwall. she could not be more unprofessional that she was.

I rate this surgery very highly in this current Health Service climate. Many Drs surgeries will make it very difficult for a patient to be seen face to face or even contact on the phone and I've found this is not the case with Crown Wood. This Surgery has my upmost respect while operating in a very difficult public health climate.

I am disgusted by the response from the receptionist when my wife who is unwell and taking a lot of cancer medication tried to book an appointment. She was told sorry I have got nothing today you will have to call again tomorrow no help at all or offer to look at any appointments for later on in the week.

I work at a different Drs Surgery in the area and I view Crown Wood as an excellent Drs otherwise I would not be there. All staff are always polite and extremely helpful and getting a call back from this practice is within a good time frame. Working for the NHS I see how stressed and stretched we all are, there is only so much that can be done within a day and we try to get as much done as possible. We should be grateful for the NHS and what they are able to do instead of being negative, imagine life without the NHS.
