Bought a door through the Fascia Place and had nothing but endless problems would it, could not recommend less. Issues Experienced with the door: - Faulty Locking Mechanism - Door Dropped after a few days of install, The Fascia Place did fix this. Where it dropped the paint was damaged in the first few days, no fix offered for this which is disappointing. - Door doesn't close, have to slam hard, the fascia place said this is normal. independent engineer came round and within 5 minutes the door now closes softly. How can the fascia place say this is ok? - Further to this (before independent lock smith), have to use the key to close the door because it wouldn't close. Even though I paid extra for the slam lock, so that wasn't worth the expense. - When slamming, sometimes the door doesn't close properly, so 50% of the door is closed other half is still open, so have to use brute force to close. - Locked outside multiple times because the lock doesn't engage - Been locked inside the house multiple times, unable to get out for near 30 mins. Huge health and safety risk - Main section of the door has discoloured in the sun after only 1 year, while the frame has stayed the original colour. - Catch plates scribed into the door, something that the fascia place 'don't normally do', why would they do this if there was nothing wrong with the door?. Independent lock smith have said that the fascia place should not have taken out the packing. - Draft excluder is wet inside What I fail to understand is how the fascia place can attend my property so many times and state there is nothing wrong with the door, but yet an independent locksmith identified and fixed some of the issues within 5 minutes for 0 charge? I would love to see one of the fascia place engineers deal with this door on a daily basis and then tell me with a straight face there is nothing wrong with the door. Long Story cut short... Our builder installed a door supplied by the Fascia place (after door being delayed and waiting many months) and problems were immediately faced. The Fascia Place came out with the builder and confirmed the door was installed correctly and it was a manufacturing defect with the locking mechanism, this was replaced under warranty by The Fascia Place. A few weeks later, I started having the issues again, and I spent the next 9 months trying to get the Fascia Place out again to try and resolve issues, to which they denied all responsibility and kept trying to charge me a call out fee. When the Fascia place eventually came out they said nothing was wrong with the door, and having to slam the door hard was normal apparently. When the Fascia place came out, they ended up scribing the catch plates into the door, if there was nothing wrong, why did they do this? The engineer that visited spent most of of the visit muttering on the phone about us and how we wasted his time, incredibly professional. Giving up with the Fascia place I decided to get an independent engineer round, he was there 5 minutes and now the door closes nice and softly. So much for the Fascia place saying I have to slam it an its normal, sounds like they don't even know their own products? The independent engineer has confirmed that the whole locking mechanism is faulty and this will need replacing again. I will have to do this out of my own pocket as The Fascia Place is not worth contacting. Current issue now is that the dead lock pings out once the door opens, so unable to close the door as it stops the door. Have to use the key to turn the deadlock back into place before the door closes. One of The Worst companies I've ever used, sub standard products supplied and even worse customer service. Rude and unprofessional staff. Service: Home renovations
