I believe MX5 community should know about my case with the company. I bought the Ecutek remap and a catted BBR manifold two years ago. I use my ND for daily and once a year taking it to track. I did two track days with the car since I installed the BBR upgrades. Turns out that the catalyst in the BBR manifold was blown it through the centre section catalyst making a damage of 1000+ on my car and a failed MOT test. They said I had overheated the manifold therefore the damage. I did take the car to track 4 times with the OEM manifold and catalyst - before installing BBR parts - and is still in perfect shape (first photo), but their catalyst has no trace in the manifold (second photo). They are selling so called "performance parts", so how is it possible that they take less heat than the OEM manifold? What's the point to buy their product if they don't serve for more intense use?
