        Took my son to Guitar George, who is his "Go to guy" for guitar repair and maintenance. These are his words on the subject: Magnificent service, good rates for said service. Have been for both a complicated restringing and fitting of a string butler now.

        Alan Anderson, goes by the name guitar George.. I took 2 guitars to him to sort out, and they came back terrible..both setups were substandard, the strat has higher action now than before it went to him, and he did fret work aswell.. higher the action, that surly isn't the proper thing to do..it sounds awful now aswell, don't know what's going on there?.. the Tele pickup isn't fixed and an awful setup.. I'm being honest and polite, I've asked for a refund, and he's refused, saying fetch them back and he'll sort it out? But he said if he lowers the action, it might buzz and I'll have to put up with that..what kind of pro guitar tech does this? I paid 200 for a job I thought was by a professional, the action is unbelievably bad..my guitars are now in a worse condition.. I may aswell thrown 200 in the road.. he's refusing to refund me, and now not replied to my messages.. So I'm considering getting trading standards involved.. I'm not sure how he's got all the happy reviews? I'm certainly not happy about it..guitar George will ruin all your chords.
