Wigmore Car Sales

Needed a car in a hurry for a long journey and bought from Wigmore in July 2022 explaining our circumstance. David was very friendly and delivered the car to our home for 60 after re-gassing the aircon. Unfortunately it turned out to be a lemon. It was very rusty underneath and the break pads were in need of replacing but more seriously the steering pulley snapped, which, had we been on a motorway, could have been life threatening. Luckily we were close to parking when it happened. This occured within 30 days of buying the car so I wrote (sent recorded delivery) to him quoting the Consumer Rights Act but maybe the postal service let us down, the owner insists I did not send a letter but I did so sadly this won't be resolved. I've since sold the car to someone who's fixed it up and MOT'd it. I've changed my review from 2 to 3 stars in the light of the did-i-didnt-i-send-a-letter-dispute. I think 3 stars is more than fair since the car was in need of serious servicing (though I did accept that there was no warranty on it) and let us down badly. Do your homework. Don't rush. Check everything. Make sure you get a warranty.

We visited in August 2022 to view a car, and although we didnt buy in the end, since we decided on a different car available elsewhere, I saw no reason not to buy from Wigmore Car Sales. The dealer David was friendly and courteous, and kindly picked us up from a nearby shopping centre. The premises are tidy, and the paperwork for the car was on hand for us to see. We had a short test drive, and plenty of time to look over the car by ourselves. The car had a few niggles and David listened and responded fairly to our thoughts on these. Cant give an opinion on aftersales customer service.

Typical LYING car sales man. Gives you all the waffle. Makes false promises. Doesnt keep his word ! AVOID!

Sold us a car that needed a new engine , told us he had done all the work on it but obviously not , dont touch him with a barge pole , when I called him he wanted to charge me 600 to fix it , only drove it for a week before all the problems started , but then refused to fix it because there was to much work to be done , dont know how he sleeps at night ,

Very satisfied with the vehicle I bought on the 05/04/21. A mint of a car well presented, seller David was excellent and very professional at his job. Genuine car sales owner. Thanks for a good experience.
