I reported a P0011 fault code about 6 months ago, but they didn't look into it because the code was cleared by the time I reported it. Two weeks ago I came in with another engine light, P0011 again. I left the car with them two hours for that and another minor issue. Their diagnosis was the oil needed a top up, so they did that and cleared the engine light. In the last couple days the engine light is back on and the car is noticeably losing power when accelerating. Now I'm under pressure because I have an international flight on the weekend and need to drive to the airport. Calling them, they are unable to look at it in time. Instead I took it to Platinum Nissan Trowbridge. They diagnosed the issue within 20 mins - faulty timing control solenoid - and have committed to fixing it this week. I'm now without a car, as I am told this is dangerous to drive on - could cause thousands of pounds of engine damage. Reading around, it looks like step one of diagnosing a P0011 is to check oil *if the oil light is on* (it was not). Step two is to check the solenoid. It seems to me that they had a good opportunity to catch and fix this 6 months ago (when I reported P0011 and my oil light was *not* on), then again the same two weeks ago. Instead it seems to me they failed to follow standard diagnosis procedures, left me at risk of causing extensive engine damage to my car, and finally left me with no car on the week leading up to a long international family trip - right when I don't need extra stress! I thought I could avoid this kind of debacle by choosing a reputable service centre, but it seems not. Thanks to Platinum Nissan Trowbridge for looking at this on short notice.

Had a timing belt and DPF pipe replacement completed in October. Friendly professional staff, flexible and completed in good time. Had a service done this month and again the staff were professional, friendly and fair. Allowed me to have a courtesy car for longer than the service. Highly recommend.
