The service used to be fantastic a few years ago. But with staff changes in reception etc, it has become very disorganized and the lack of empathy displayed by some of the staff is astounding. They are dealing with sick and elderly patients that can sometimes be easily confused, and when you try to ease their workload , by making a phone call yourself instead of a receptionist doing it on your behalf you may be met with disdain. I myself suffer from a few different conditions one being high anxiety and can get very anxious and emotional. On more than one occasion I have been met with impatience and a total lack of understanding, while I am trying to be pleasant and not break down. I have thought long and hard about posting this review as Hillside used to be a lovely local surgery, but changes over the years have not improved it but let it down. It's a shame as there are still some good people there. Sometimes change isn't always a good thing and obviously catering for an ever increasing patient list does not make things any easier and I do understand that.

Great surgery. Helpful staff and GP's are fab.
