What a hidden treasure in Bowness On Solway! Wonderful warm welcome from Maureen, the proprietor. The rooms are immaculate, so comfortable, clean and quiet yet full of character. The extensive garden is wonderful to find a quiet spot to enjoy peace. Truly, we booked for 2 days and stayed 6, it was difficult to leave. One day Maureen brought us a plate of home made scones, fresh from the oven. It's the little touches that turn a good experience into a great one. Also foot spa's provided in every room. The Old Chapel caters well for disabled people like myself; a lovely spotless wet room is installed too. A completely relaxing time at extremely reasonable prices. A good tip - you will need to book early to experience this tonic!
