Day 1 in the Stone carving barn, nice friendly atmosphere, tea & coffee a plenty, great helpful instruction, without micromanagement. In the rural countryside, with quaint country lanes and trees everywhere. Thatched houses it was like being a kid again, before everywhere got covered in concrete & bricks. I would definitely recommend this place for a stone carving course, easily a 5 star in my opinion.

My husband has attended quite a few of Henry's classes and loved them. Not only was Henry an utter delight to work with but he was also a wonderful instructor. Between them they produced some amazing treasures. Henry's commission's are of the highest standard.

Even if you don't think you can do it Henry shows you how! I so enjoyed the time in the studio and I learnt so much not just about stone carving but also about myself and the use of tools. I'm so much more confident now in lots of things I do manually

If you are looking at this then you have found the perfect place to start your journey into the world of stone carving. Henry expertly guides you through your chosen project whether you are a beginner or not. Everything is provided plus a plentiful supply of tea/coffee biscuits and homemade cake in front of a warming stove. Wonderful.

Henry helped me select a beautiful piece of Portland stone and carved it with my Father's name and dates as a lasting memorial to a wonderful man, he installed it high on the hill where we took his ashes. A simple but elegant tribute. Thank you Henry. Diane
