This is our favourite campsite! Absolutely beautiful setting and a great place to see wildlife, sit round the campfire and watch the sun go down. Great to be out in nature, but with the luxury of flushing toilets, hot showers and lovely tents with comfy beds! The owners are really friendly and helpful and the site is well looked after. We have been twice now and definitely will be back. Can't wait for our next visit.

Really lovely campsite, quiet and in beautiful surroundings. Plenty of space so even with most of the pitches filled it didn't feel at all crowded. The facilities are ideal for a few nights - hot showers, flushing toilets, a little kitchen for washing up. Lots of great walks nearby and the people are incredibly welcoming and friendly - including the neighbouring farm's dog!

This is a quaint back to basics campsite (perfec!) My wife and I stayed for 3 nights at the beginning of August (2020). It is really remote and definately off the beaten track (just what we prefer). I thought I would share the good bits and some useful information of our stay. We pitched our tent by the crop, in retrospect I would of faced my tent outwards facing the nice view. (However during our stay this where the wind was coming from). It was a little breezy. Some of the wildlife we seen were pheasants, voles, dragon flies, swallows, bats and owls. I didnt see designated pitches as such, so was bit of a close eyes throw dart approach :-) Other guests were observant of the need to stay distanced and allowed generous space between tents. Night time was super quiet! literally heard no other campers only the owls. Fiona and her husband come on site quite regularly with their dogs Bell and Pip to check everyone is ok. If you were planning to eat at the Queens Head or Horseshow Pub (A generous hike!) You will want to book well in advance. We didn't manage to get a booking. Theres a NISA local / co-op shop in Sixpenny Handley (6 min drive) if you need any small bits. Lots of walks and national trust areas to explore around there. We did the RSPB walk not to far away. There were fire pits and tables you could rent. We pre-ordered wood which you can grab on your way in (not really advisable to carry as it's a little ways from the campsite). We took our own fire pit as it was an off ground one. We did forget firelighters but they had some available in the washing up room which was a saviour. Maybe take a fire brick to get it all going. And marshmallows! We forgot marshmallows! (Face Palm emoji) Theres a gas powered shower, really nice and warm but can cut out if it's really windy. Gas was empty when we arrived but Fiona soon sorted it and had the gas bottle replaced and the shower up and running again. There we of these on site. Not sure however that 2 is enough of the size of the site for how many people there could be if full. But for us it was good and hardly ever a que. Clean and checked regularly. We took our own toilet roll, hand soap and hand towel as to be extra careful with COVID. toilet and shower were both clean and every guest was careful, clean and respectful of distance. The only reason we didnt give this five stars was for there being no hot water in washing up area which made things a little annoying. It wasn't a problem as we just boiled our own but we used up much more gas than planned for. Will we be back. Yes. Yes we will :-) Recommended

Beautiful camp site with great amenities. Nice clean toilets & warm gas showers. The field has a 6 pitch capacity which keeps it quiet and spacious.

Great off the beaten track campsite, think the benches marked the pitches but not too sure only 5 other groups when we went mid week. So just picked somewhere nice. Stayed for a night hired a fire pit but had to bring it down from the farmhouse, not ideal if you have a small car, also its not the cleanest thing to be putting in the boot with the seats down. Very quiet, Horseshoe inn was one of the best pubs I have ever been too, traditional village pub served by the family all homemade, just how it should be! Facilities good enough shower hot and pressure not bad for being in a field. Toilet very clean. All in all a good stay will happily be back! All in all just what we wanted.
