We came to know about Sofia through internet when we were looking for another 11 plus tuition for our son that is good & competitive as preparation wasnt going right with the previous tutor. Sofia took him in her tuition just few months before the final 11 plus exam and assured us that he will be fine. When she took his first assessment she identified his weak areas and his overall personality. She was very clear and honestly told us where he stands and how is she going to work with him. Once the classes started we saw a massive improvement in our sons performance and he just kept going up with his marks. We were very sure that we didnt made a mistake changing sons tuition to her. Sofia is very dedicated towards teaching children and guided us throughout until the last day of exam and also after that. She has well structured lessons and uses excellent material along with giving good amount of homework each week. She took great responsibility and interest in each child's individual requirements and have always gone above and beyond to ensure all topics are covered and understood by students. In a timely manner she planned very competitive mock exams that boosted my sons confidence and gave him very good practice before the actual entrance exam. After seeing my sons results my words cannot express my gratitude to her. I felt that my son was fully prepared for not just the content of the exam but also the technique. I will start by explaining the main reason we came to Sofia from a parents perspective: my daughter has passed her exams (Loreto, Alty Girls, Sale). I was looking for a tutor because I found some gaps in the way she was dealing with the 11 plus papers, and I never could have imagined how lucky I was finding Sofia. Firstly, I have to say that she is a true professional. You can see from the first day that she loves what she is doing. She takes her work very seriously and this is something that she also transmits to the students and their parents. The communication with the parents is amazing, she always has a moment to update you with some info about how your child is doing, giving you many good tips and lots of materials to practice with. In our case, the mock exams that Sofia organize closer to the exam date, and going through the mistakes later, has been a great help. My daughter respects her so much. She used to come back home after tutoring telling me that she wished Sofia was her teacher at school. After opening the letters with the 11 plus results, one of the first words she said: Please, mum, tell Sofia. She fully recognizes that most of the credit goes to her tutor. I am personally grateful to her, not only for helping my daughter to pass the exam, but also for building her confidence and forming an engaging study habit, which she didn't have before going to Sofia.
