Very disappointed as 2 of us arrived and told it was fully booked. Maybe it's unfair to leave 3 stars but that's based on learning we needed to prebook just for a pub lunch!

Poor again. I ordered a 14OZ COTE DE BOEUF as a treat for a busy week and ordered it to come medium rare. It arrived well done, I could tell by looking at it. I alerted the very polite serving staff who said they would sort it.A new one came medium rare and a better cut of meat, but with the original cold chips and peppercorn sauce. Again alerted the staff. By this time my family had finished their food. Another steak came and it was medium and a very bad cut and fatty. I had given up at this point. No peppercorn sauce came, so I had to get up againand ask for it.The chips looked like why had been put back in the fryer too. The lady on the till was very apologetic, but it was not her fault and did righty take it off the bill, not that I would have paid for and it didnt make the experience any better. Concerning a chef who cant cook a steak and the actions that followed. My wifes pastry was not cooked through but just left it, who also had an upset stomach after. Weve not been for a while as last time there was an issue too. I did email this review as requested on the 130 receipt, but no response, hence the public review.
