He removed a window and bricked it up, installed weeping vents, corrected the incorrect installation of my door by bricking underneath and sorted some dodgy brickwork too. He turned up on time, cleaned up with himself and kept me informed constantly prior to arrival.

We are extremely pleased with the work done by Ben and team. The standard of work was high and we were kept well informed throughout the process. The work took the time expected and the cost was in line with original agreements. The final snags and some of the additional work not in the original contract have taken a little longer than expected but in general we are very pleased and would recommend.

This is a difficult review as for the most part the work by Amsfield was excellent. The work was a major renovation of a bungalow. The biggest majority of the work including taking down walls, a new stud wall major work to floors, new ceilings was great. It was a big job and took 6 months for most of the work to be done. Sadly, after I moved in, the last of the work (probably in total 3 -5 days work) took a further 5 months. They clearly had moved on to other jobs and my mistake was paying for everything before I moved in. There were quite a few things that needed sorting and I still don't understand why the windows at the side of the French doors differ in size by 4cms! The reason I was given just doesn't make sense. Anyway happily all is now done although the finish is not great in some areas. Getting the last bits of work done was really hard and the finish for these really was the total opposite of 'above and beyond'. Such a shame it ended as it did. So really 5 stars for the first 6 months and no stars for the last 5 months.
