Nice little library with a decent book selection and quite a large childrens corner given the size of the library. Free rhyme time for babies/toddlers too

TITLE .. YOU'VE BEEN A GREAT HELP NICOLLE - THANK YOU . I have known Nicolle as a pleasant , smiling library employee for at least the last 5 years. She and her senior colleague Christine were very helpful in catering for my late Mother's reading needs during the last 3 years of her life and I'll always be grateful for that. The main purpose of this review , entirely for Nicolle , was to thank her for her great knowledge beyond the many books stored in the library ( I'm referring to that T word called Technology ! ) AND for continuing to be patient with me , the ever talkative, recovering anxiety patient ( discharged almost a year today .. feeling fine but still prone to blurting out his life story to everyone who'll listen !! ) I have my hair cut every 5 weeks at the nearby barbers in Bowburn ( they have to be equally patient by the way ! ) I usually drop in to the library to utilise their accessories on the way home ie photocopying , computing etc as sadly I've never been a bookworm as such. On walking into the library today I thought Nicolle is a helpful person but i'll be out of here in a jiffy empty handed ... how wrong I was to my delight ! NEEDED A PRINT OUT OF AN EMAIL FROM A MOBILE PHONE ! ( ANDROID ) This appeared to be degree of difficulty 9.9 to me and INITIALLY Nicolle looked to have drawn a blank saying that there was insufficient WI - FI to link printer to phone. CHEERS NICOLLE ! .. This is just Greek to me and just as I was about to leave she offered the suggestion which ultimately solved the problem and led to some lovely chat about the charitable content of the email to be printed . KINDNESS IS THE GREATEST GIFT I THOUGHT it required me knowing what my email password was to log in as myself and I think Nicolle required mouth - to - mouth resuscitation when I said I was capable of doing this !!!!! Found email got it copied and its now safely and I might add selfishly pinned on a wall at home as a record of a donation I've made to a Music Therapy Centre in New Zealand. Last word goes to very helpful Nicolle who admitted to not being at all good at receiving praise face - to - face. Well just read this my friend and have a private moment or two to digest it but I implore you to show the same good humour you displayed to me today when reflecting upon reading this in 5 weeks time when we have our next little chat on 9th May . ( Deal ?! ) Take care now Nicolle ELLIS COXON.

This is the friendliest of libraries and the excellent staff will always help you to order in books. It's also a "warm space" in these cold times.
