Highly recommend! I made a bedside table for my daughter's bedroom and I enjoyed it so much that I'm now making a little wooden stool with Rich. He's a really lovely guy with tonnes of knowledge and the workshop is a beautiful place to learn. I felt like I'd struck lucky stumbling across his courses online. It's definitely great value for money.

Great day chatting, listening to 90s music and a little woodwork on the side! Rich was super friendly and helpful and I left with a lovely chopping/charcuterie board.

I spent a day at the Wood Academy on a one day course. Rich let me decide what I wanted to cover (in my case, mortise and tenon joints using hand tools ) and guided me through making a small door frame. He is a very good teacher and a really nice guy. Nothing was too much trouble and he provided tea and cake into the bargain! I thoroughly recommend Rich and the Wood Academy for anyone from absolute beginners through to accomplished woodworkers.

A really terrific and fun day's woodworking with Rich. As a beginner to carpentry I learned a huge amount under Rich's patient tutoring and came away with a stool I was really proud of. My disbelieving family thought I'd bought it! I'd highly recommend a day's workshop - lots of fun and always very safe.

My wife and I booked a day with Rich. We had no experience woodworking and with Richs expertise used a wide range of skills and machines to make a lovely piece for our house. Really enjoyable, relaxed, learnt loads, and with something to show for it in the end. I can recommend this as a beginner but with the range of equipment Rich has I can imagine it caters well for all skill levels.
