Park authority seems to not understand the definition of leisure. The parks are a national resource not something that private landowners should be running for their own interests. I respect that there is a need to protect land but I have never seen damage caused by wild camping. Certainly building walls and fences across the countryside restrict the movement of wildlife and there is plenty of evidence that these cause year round stress to wildlife by restricting access to natural resources. If you need to stop people wild camping during nesting season that is fine but dont pick and choose areas based on the economic interests of a few millionaires who will never be happy with what they have

Shut down Steward community woodland and allowed the development of environmentally destructive housing on greenbelt land. Crooked.

I have recently been dealing with the planning Dept at DNP, and I find them testing but straightforward. They have a difficult job to do, and everyone wants them to say 'yes' to everything. As a customer they've made us jump though a few hoops, but have tried to be helpful and fair. I can't say that anyone would want more than that. As a resident, I see them actively trying to promote the park whilst also retaining it's integrity and 'specialness'. They try to do a difficult job well!
