So far so good weve been dealing with a lovely woman who has bent over backwards to help my daughter obtain a rented property close to us so we can help with the upbringing of our grandson with complicated circumstances and they took this to heart a helped us as much as permitted buy land lord of property. Also theres a few bad reviews here but they are estate agents not the landlords. Kind regards to monro estates.

May 2017 Property to let I feel was misrepresented. Wall in living room was wet, an area approx 1ft high, 3ft long. The initial inventory was skimmed over very quickly and was inaccurate(a cracked window was also not mentioned). A direct question I asked regarding if the property had damage or needed any work was answered with a 'not really'. With hindsight I can see something was being hidden. I feel the agent who dealt with this was dismissive of my concerns, as they felt a property with wet walls is perfectly habitable. Agents have been friendly and helpful other than this. * This is still on going and I will update once resolved * All issues were resolved by the landlords agents in a reasonable time period considering the amount of work needed. The vast amounts of dust created was left to myself to clean. On checkout(May 2018) they also tried to charge for pre-existing damage to laminate flooring on the kitchen, although this was later dropped after my protests. Overall, avoid this estate agent at all costs.

We rented a property in Tow Law in 2017. The property looked decent when we viewed. A few bits like a broken step in the garden and the carpets fraying from a previous tenant etc but nothing particularly bad. The wheelie bins were full, broken lids and we were missing a recycle bin but eventually got that sorted. Oven refused to work and waited a week for that to be replaced. After around 3 weeks the problems with the property began. Firstly, a leak in the utility room roof. We called Munro immediately to notify them and were told all of their roofers were very busy but someone would be in touch. The ceiling began to bubble and eventually started to fall in. It took 12 weeks for Munro to negotiate a contractor, the landlord and themselves a suitable way to fix. In the meantime, we had 2 more leaks from different roofs in the house. Stairs carpet had exposed grippers, step in garden never fixed, mould in bathroom and all bedrooms. Constant condensation in house, no matter how much we aired or heated it. Door locks broken and a locksmith came and used an angle grinder in my living room while my children were present! Munro were absolutely impossible to deal with. Even had one of their agents tell me hed evict me for complaining about cowboy work! Luckily, we were able to escape. Still havent our deposit back 10 months after leaving. I would recommend anyone even considering taking a contract with Munro Estates to avoid. Ive never known such horrific estate agents.
