I realised that I had never visited Mary Shelleys grave and after listening to the you're dead to me podcast (on BBC 4) about her I decided it was high time I took a visit. So I drove down to Bournemouth, parked in the central car park (which is the closest to St. Peters and offers RingGo, PayByPhone and Just Park options as well as physical machines to pay at) and walked the two minutes it takes from that car park to the church and graveyard. It was quiet, there weren't many people around so I placed some flowers on her tomb, contemplated life and death and what an extraordinary woman she was and then continued to explore the other graves and sign posts in the graveyard. It's always nice to see places like this being managed for wildlife and there are signs up about wildflowers and stag beetles (as Bournemouth is a hot spot for them).

Amazing see. And Percy Shelley as well, who also was a genius.
