I had a hearing test, it was going well, pleasant audiologist who explained hearing loss etc. it was stated I may benefit from a hearing aid and I wouldnt dispute that. The problem came at the end of my visit when I was told to Discuss it with your husband to decide what to do Wow! To that person (him/her!), I am financially independent and capable of making my own decisions particularly in relation to my health. I will not be returning. M&S would not permit to state in my review the gender of the person serving me, how very odd.

What and absolute delight to be looked after by this opticians. Great customer service from start to finish. Such a breath of fresh air compared to the usual high street conveyor belt opticians. A huge thank you to Stephanie and to Mark who looked after my initial enquiry. They were very professional and their level of customer service was off the scale. When I went for my eye test I was looked after by Anthony, who signposted everything very clearly to me about what was going to happen. The ophthalmologist, Jaya, came across as very caring and was the complete opposite to what I was used to with my previous High St Opticians. Overall I just had the best experience. Everything was perfect and the people were extremely professional and very welcoming. I would definitely recommend this team and they now have a customer for life.

A patient elsewhere last year, I was aware that some of their staff were now working in the new opticians at M&S. As ever, I was given fantastic care and they were able to match the brand of my varifocals.

So that time comes to us all where the eye sight is changing and you need new glasses so the wife and I thought we would try M&S this time - after all its a trusted brand, all the staff across the rest of the store have been great before and so we booked our appointments. Well, I have to say its the best opticians Ive been to from start to finish - from booking in, to pre chechecks, to the actual tests (Sara is wonderful) to the service in selecting frames and lens was all top drawer. Mark the manager was efficiently organising everyone and checked in to make sure we were happy. Absolutely everyone was so friendly and really made you feel comfortable and cared for and valued. We then got the call to come pick them and up (early than thought, so that was a big plus) and have fitting adjustments done, which again was painless, straightforward and nothing too much trouble. A big thank you to Mark and the whole team for fabulous service as the saying goes this isnt just an Opticians, this is M&S Opticians. Two very happy customers, and if youre thinking of getting new glasses or contacts I would recommend you getting your next pair/set from here.

Excellent service regards hearing issues. Gary was so precise and professional, very reassuring and took his time to explain all the tests. The opticians at M&S is a big bonus in store; staff are fabulous and Mark manages it brilliantly.
