I do not recommend Steele Raymond. I used Lindsay Halliwell to act in my divorce. I was charged much more than they quoted for, not the low indicative one you get at the start, but one I received a few months before completion after my court appearance by over 7,000 with no indication it would be more at any point. They were incredibly slow to reply, sometimes leaving me weeks at a time with no response and I just had to chase and chase. The advice they provided, directly contradicted the advice of the barrister they chose, which I only found out on my court appearance, and they supported negotiating a settlement that negatively impacted my finances to be more like a 70/30 split, all with no consequence to themselves. I raised an official complaint, they said they'd respond within 28 days, that was 28 days ago... I think that sums it all up. My observation is as a firm they are more interested by the money they can charge and less concerned about caring for clients.
