    Havent had my repair yet but it has been sub contracted to hotpoint in a timely manner so they are not responsible for any faults with repair, however on the phone, the young man I encountered was very easy to speak to (not based in a foreign call centre), knowledgeable and nice, a much better experience than I had with Domestic General! Zest is the obvious choice for appliance repair

    Appalling service. Do not take out a zestplan. 6 weeks ago I took out a plan being told I'd pay 13 p/m & an engineer would come to fix it. Told if it needed new parts they'd order & rebook with no extra cost & if they were unable to fix they'd replace the machine. 6 Hotpoint engineer appointments later, we've waited ages for new parts, each engineer says it's a different issue - they do not appear to know what they are doing despite being a 'reputable'company. You can't get through to Hotpoint to discuss it& they don't have a clear complaints procedure either. I've been left to discuss with zest, who I made a complaint with on Monday & told I'd receive a call within 24 hours from a manager to discuss next steps. Still no phonecall 3 days later. Not sure why they can't see I'm a priority I can only assume they don't care! To add to my fury, when I last spoke with zest I was told they don't offer a replacement machine! I was misold the service, made to wait 6 weeks & make 6 different appointments for an engineer visit!!! It's so difficult to be home once a week during the week to be here when they come & still the issue is unresolved! I want the new machine I was promised but expect that won't happen & I'll have to buy a new one having wasted 6 weeks & loads of money in launderette! Cannot stress enough,do not purchase a zestplan!

    Very disappointed with the service! Called about my current faulty dishwasher to look at getting the appliance fixed. Zest offer 2 options for service, a monthly payment and a 1 off payment. I was encouraged by George in the sales team to go with the 1 off payment after explaining the fault and make and model of my dishwasher. Therefore did so. When the engineer came to service my dishwasher he immediately pointed out that there was nothing to be done as this was a make and model that had gone bust and impossible to get replacement parts. Unfortunately, with the 1 off payment you are only entitled to a portion refund if there is no fix unlike the monthly option that I was discouraged to needing. It then took Zest 5 weeks to return our calls and emails (twice being told that we would get a call back the next day, that never happened). It is now 6 weeks later and only just getting the partial refund. Even after the recommendation from George saying on the phone to me originally that is a well brand and therefore most likely to get fixed). I have now gone with a competitor to buy a new dishwasher. Catherine was lovely (and the only reason this is not a 1 star review) in customer service when we eventually could get through, unfortunately her boss does not share her level and understanding of customer service and refused to speak with me or acknowledge any wrongdoing. Prices here are not competitive enough to justify the poor service!
