If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. I ordered via UberEats and the restaurant answered my call when it was running late, informing me that they were on their way, another hour passed and I called again were very busy, we will cancel your order if you dont want to wait. I chose to wait because they said that the driver was setting off shortly. Another extended period of time passed and eventually the driver did arrive (somewhere around the 2 hours late mark). They had cancelled my order on UberEats [Edited from JustEat to correct an error that the business owner rightly pointed out to me] without me being aware, likely to stop me being able to make a complaint about the late service and cold food. Thankfully UberEats seems to be solving the issue from their end but please be warned, this restaurant seems to be known for their terrible service, I wish Id done a little research before ordering but I didnt think that there could possibly be so many issues with ordering a basic order of two pizzas. A note for the restaurant, before you reply to me telling me that Im being unreasonable: If you are unable to fulfil deliveries, Uber allows you to take your restaurant offline until you can catch up. Processing an order as cancelled to avoid a customer being able to raise an issue with the service you provide is actually fraud, under the consumer protections act. I have lodged a complaint with UberEats, who has kindly refunded me the total for the meal but Im fortunate that I can afford - to some, this would have been a luxury that would have been at best a disappointment and at worst food poisoning - the food was not in a great state when it arrived, I didnt risk eating it. Im not saying that it would have caused an issue but I wasnt about to take that gamble. Especially given that you claimed that the food was out for delivery much earlier, the state that arrived in told me that you may have indeed made the food much earlier. It seems that you really need to review your business practices and work on improving your reputation in the area. Taking a quick look at the reviews about your restaurant should tell you all that you need to know. [Edit: the following is in response to the restaurants reply] Whilst Im positive that bank holiday weekend was a busy time - I gave a great method for dealing with such issues in my review. Taking your restaurant offline, so that you can fulfil orders before taking more would go a long way towards helping your workload. You are correct, I mistakenly placed JustEats in my original review - this is human error and I corrected it. As for people leaving negative reviews but not positive. As Im sure that youre aware, many people will order food and not everybody leaves reviews, people will leave reviews for exceptionally good service or exceptionally bad service (of course there are those that will review everything and even some that seem determined to leave bad reviews on everything but mostly reviews will reflect a great or terrible experience. Take some time to review your competition and their reviews and youll find both positive and negative, indicating that your reply stating that people only leave negative may be more to do with your service that it is to do with people not being balanced. As you have stated in response to other reviews, you open very late and you benefit from the custom of those that would otherwise go elsewhere if they were open. This doesnt mean that people are ordering because you provide good service, simply that you provide a service at a time that nobody else is open. Im sure that you can open a second outlet on the back of that because you are correct that there arent that many places in the area opening that late. Simply having a lot of customers does not mean that you have a lot of happy customers. As you state in your response, you do not have a good reputation locally - so, surely you would be far better off, investing in a more suitable premises and staffing levels correct before expanding.
