Always "Line Busy" even when trying to call as soon as they open and before they close - also a 2 year waiting list for a doctors appointment. I think it's about time to change

I registered at this practice about 1 year ago, called once to book an appointment for severe cold I was experiencing and was told doctor can't help, called again today and said I wanted to see a doctor as I want to stop smoking and was told the doctor can't help with that, that I must search for help online myself. Why does NHS say the place to start is to see your GP for referrals and obtain treatment of withdrawal symptoms? Let me also add that the tone of voice from your receptionist was really unsympathetic, she showed no sign of willing to help me at all, didn't let me explain what I needed. I was left feeling worst about quitting smoking after my telephone call to Panton Practice. I don't know why people like this work at places where they should act nicely to people, what a rude and discouraging service, and always trying to avoid the patient to see a doctor. I have several needs to speak to a doctor, and was rejected an appointment in regards to my addiction and was declined any help. I've lived in the UK since 2003 and this is by far the worst experience I had from a GP practice. I will be changing my GP practice now that I realised they are a total waste of time in my opinion, with no care about their patients well being.
