        We went on the trip named Hampton Court Palace at Christmas in November. There was nothing Christmasy about it. They were preparing for the weeks ahead. The coach was one bought up with many others, from small local companies, now all owned by National Express. This particular coach needed lots of TLC to be acceptable for fare paying customers. The coach was unable to park near the venue so for some, the walk back to the coach on a very cold, dark evening, was a struggle. No fault of the courteous, apologetic coach driver, it took him by surprise as well. I have written to Solent Coaches (now National Express), hoping for a response. However, there has been none.
