Ben is nothing short of a miracle worker! My Dad, in his late 90s, was discharged back home after 6 weeks in hospital with a very nasty infection. It went into his right eye and affected his hearing as well as causing him major balance problems. He simply couldnt stand up or walk without keeling over backwards. Hed already had several falls requiring A & E admission whilst working with the hospital physiotherapists, so his prospects for recovering independence were not well starred. Ben told him that he would recover him to the point of being able to discard the Zimmer frame and walk again using his stick within 6 (weekly) sessions. Astoundingly thats exactly what Ben did, and all before the conventional physiotherapy service had even managed to follow Dad up at home. Ben is now working with my profoundly autistic brother who suffered a left side paralysis 10 years ago. Remarkably he has already recovered some arm and hand movements after just 6 sessions. This is after 10 years of traditional physiotherapy that had stabilized his condition but had not returned the movements as he still had a clawed left hand. Bens innovative approach is simply awesome! There can be no doubt that Ben is a life changer. I would wholeheartedly recommend his services to everyone with similar challenges.

My husbands condition has greatly improved since he started being seen by the Neurophysiotherapist. He had a big stroke about 42 months ago which affected the right side of his body. After his discharge from the Rehabilitation Centre he was referred to the Stroke team. He had series of set back after he left the rehab for which he was hospitalised. This affected his performance and the stroke team had to discharge him because he was not achieving the target set for him. But since Ben took over and started him on the lines and physical exercises his clawed fingers have been straightened and his right arm which was lifeless is now been used. He is making every effort to eat with the right hand though its still a bit hard. His mobility is also improving. He is no longer transferring with a hoist but he now uses standing aid. His speech is also improving. He is now able to communicate in both his mother tongue and a little bit in English. I am quite pleased with the treatment Ben is giving him towards recovery.

I had my first appointment with Ben in October & since then the improvement I have achieved has been nothing short of miraculous. His approach to neuro-rehab is totally unique. It combines Optokinetic rehab with vestibular rehab. What do I mean by this? I start each session by watching a screen with a multicoloured bar code which oscillates from side to side, up & down & in & out, whist standing on a balance cushion. Then it becomes more like a regular physio appointment doing various movements & exercises designed to reinforce my vestibular system. NRNRS has developed an app which I have downloaded on to my laptop so I can access the treatment 3 x per day rather than once a week. My running, in particular, has benefitted hugely, I have achieved an amazing raft of PBs of which I'm very proud, the latest one was today when I ran 10km in 1hr 14 mins 46 seconds this time 3 years ago I was in a wheelchair. Ben has been so supportive & helpful & is more than happy to answer my endless questions. I get lots of comments & compliments how how much my gait has improved. In particular how much more I'm lifting my right ( my affected) foot/knee.
